Festive

It felt very festive in our town today as a pipe band played and Santa paid a visit before the official switching on of the lights.
This was a first for me and the kids as we have lived overseas since the kids were three. What struck me most was that I barely knew anyone in the crowd. Our small town has grown so much in the past ten years, but where have all the people gone that I used to know ?
