Taking Time
This week we have been working on a number of things, project ideas, old and new and taking some time to reflect on what we’ve learned.
Understanding that people have more than one identity helps us develop the kinds of learning programmes that are relevant to the adults we work with. We work with them to design a curriculum that supports every part of their lives, starting from the premise that our learners already bring expertise and experience with them.
The journey through learning should last a lifetime, supporting our transitions and the changes we want to make along the way. The Buddha was perhaps the original post-modernist who provided a model for education in which the heart and mind are rightly inextricably joined.
This photo I took today reminded me of that.
