The amazing tile patterns on the roof of St Matthias Church on Castle Hill Budapest.

Also known as the Church of Our Lady

First constructed in 1255 it has been damaged and rebuilt many times over the centuries. In the late 19th century, architect Frigyes Schulek restored the church, it being completed in 1896.

He added the distinctive roof tiles and the huge number of gargoyles adorning the spire.
