A New Gardener Has Arrived !

This little pony, maybe a Shetland, appeared in the children's play area a few days ago. Tied to the fence, day and night, by a couple of ropes, he has been chomping away at the grass ever since. There is no shelter there for him, but maybe with that thick coat, he doesn't need one. A new notice was put on the gate by the council to say, definitely no dogs allowed in there, so perhaps it's a way to save on the grass cutting ! Also there is a plan to pull down garages nearby and sell the whole plot including the playground, to a developer for housing. Things are now falling into place.... the climbing frame was the first to disappear, after that, the seesaw, then a few months ago the slide went along with some bigger swings. Only the baby swings left now and a small rocker. It was a well used park, especially by the youngsters playing football after school and there is nothing else nearby for them in this built up area.
