At Westonbirt: the REAL father christmas....x

Westonbirt Arboretum is a special place all year round, but at this time of year it is especially good. Not only do you have whats left from the spectacular autumn colour. Its like a daily firework display here, a real show piece. To top that, the Forestry Commission put on "The Illuminated Christmas" trail.

Its truly magical, to see the trees in such striking light and contrast. People who know their trees could light up a forest like this. Fairies, blow smoke filled light bubbles, lit like baubles into childrens faces. They reach across the rope, stretching fingertips pointed.....pop! A puff of smoke, a squeal of delight.

I could have posted a picture of the trail, I took lots. Its a photographers paradise, in the day and night at the minute. I might put them up on my blipfolio later, but I do urge you to google the opening times of the trail and go.....
