Surf Life Saving

Well - the breakers were at least 4 inches high!

Year 9 Rabbit Island day - 230-ish kids, plenty of staff, 10 dozen barbecued sausages, lots of sunshine and lots of fun.

Mike here was one of our on-the-water safety crew who kept an eye on the swimmers as they swam a short distance off shore before returning to run about a kilometre along the beach and back. A nice little aquathlon for the students (yes - it really does have an 'l' in it apparently!) - just enough work to justify a whole day at the beach!
