Brighton Birds

I woke this morning and decided it was going to be a trip to the coast day. I couldn't decide between Brighton or Leigh-on-Sea and a walk to Southend, as both are good for a sunset (if I was lucky!). I chose my old favourite, Brighton again and had a jolly splendid time! After buying a new, cosy, unflattering tea cosybobble hat to heat my head up a bit (nothing worse than a chilly ear), I made my way down to the beach for a walk along the prom, a sit on the cold pebbles, a beautiful sunset, pier, through the Lanes to get the train home. Time went far too quickly!

I zoomed in on the old pier to take this shot of the birds gathering for the night. I was surprised to see a cormorant or two in the picture, I thought it was just gulls.
