Dumgoyne and the Campsies
It's my turn to have The Girls for lunch tomorrow, so I got up at the crack of dawn - 8am on a Saturday is my crack of dawn - and hotfooted it into Milngavie so that I could park and shop at M&S before the rest of the world got its act together.
The light was still good as I was driving into town, so I stopped briefly to blip these familiar hills.
The parking plan worked, but the quick shop misfired because I wasn't allowed to buy any wine until 10 o'clock. However, the time passed quite quickly while I meandered round the store, ogling all the lovely goodies, and I nipped through the check-out sharpish as soon as I legally could.
The young lad on the check-out commented on the awfulness of the headlines on my newspaper as he scanned it. I hadn't heard about the helicopter crash onto a busy Glasgow pub last night. A horrendous accident indeed!
