Trumpets and Trombones!

When I passed this brass quartet this morning they were playing 'In the Bleak Midwinter' and they had they had just reached the line 'Snow had fallen snow on snow' but on a bright, fairly mild day there was no chance of snow! Further down the road two girls were singing (unaccompanied) the same carol.

Buchanan Street, possibly Glasgow's premier shopping street, was teeming with shoppers carrying a multitude of different types of plastic and paper carrier bags. There was a company giving out free bags of Christmas flavoured popcorn (I declined that particular freebe!).

After a long morning, most of it spent in the church setting up for communion tomorrow, I was glad to reach the bus stop where I didn't have too long to wait for a No 18.
