Working the scene
One of the lessons photographers teach people is to work a scene. Go back, find new angles, stop taking photographs and watch what happens to get a better idea. This is what I'm doing with the fantastic StarFlyer in Edinburgh's St Andrew Square.
The stop and watch thing has definitely worked for me as I have started to work out where the point is that the flyer is going slow enough to bring out the colours of the carts in the image. Now if only somebody could move the buildings behind it I'd be really happy!
