Sandhill Cranes

I pulled over at the Jasper Pulaski Wildlife Refuge in order to watch the arriving Crane families. The refuge is directly in their flight path and they were lined up in the air as far as I could see. Before it's over there will be thousands of them spread out through the countryside. Smart birds, though. I've never seen one trying to walk across the road!! Tonight we ate leftover Thanksgiving dinner; easily as good the second day as the first. No pie though. Darn it.
