SHUHAI - "Admiration"

Today was the traditional second walk for the new Geiko Round Bean.
As I was following her a group of girls step aside to let the new Geiko pass looking at the her with admiration.

I always wonder how today's Japanese women perceive this kind of traditional performing art, which was original created by and for men.
Albeit occasionally, from a cultural point of view, for some Japanese women today a Maiko or Geiko can symbolise an icon of the old "chauvinistic Japan"... , still they are always admired for their grace and beauty.
