Tatties

Went for a long walk during what I "felt" would be a dry spell after lots of heavy showers. I was right, mostly. I'm still using the lens adaptor to fit an old telephoto lens to my DSLR. I've done nothing to set the correct aperture so I'm just using the exposure bias for the moment.

The real purpose of the trip was to shoot a couple rolls through my *new* Yashica Mat 124 TLR.

I accidentally loaded my first roll while it was still set to shoot 24 exposures, so I'm not really sure if that roll will come out with anything usable. I'm guessing that the frames will overlap since 220 film is much thinner than 120. I shot another roll on the same cheap Lucky B&W. I love the film. My results with it have been just as good as anything I've shot on Neopan at the same speed which is often regarded as one of the best films out there. My only problem is reading the exposure number on the black backing. The Yashica solves that problem with a semi-automated film advance system. It's actually a pretty quick shooter. The light meter seems pretty accurate usually matching up with my Sekonic.

Now to finish the last roll on the FED5 and send some film to England for developing. I'll save the rest for my trip to Beijing in October. Oh yeah, I'm not going to Greece anymore. With my fathers stroke a week ago I decided to go home instead.
