Stately Buck

The view from the kitchen windows at my in-laws is AMAZING! All times of the day deer wander through the backyard, sitting on the banks of a river. Squirrels scamper around and, at times, eagles soar overhead. They've even had bears!!! It was warm enough yesterday for all of us to gather outside for group pictures.
Feeding 44 people was a task my brother-in-law and sister-in-law did with ease. We had two twenty pound turkeys, twenty pounds of potatoes with four pounds of butter and a quart of heavy cream.... A ham....numerous side dishes.....nine pies.....countless bottles of wine. There were four generations counting the soon to be newest member of the family. Times like this remind us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such unconditional love, and for that I am grateful.
