It is Friday

When I went into Burgundy's last night there was excitement in the air and in the middle of it was the vivacious Helen Longworth in her incredible yellow dress. It was the Laurence Canty gig with himself on bass guitar, John Powney on drums, Fred Binley on keyboards with Dave Lee as guest sax and Helen on vocals.

It was great to see them all and the usual regulars. And it was an awesome night finishing up with jazzed xmas numbers. I left Susie in charge of my raffle tickets with a request for a CD prize .....and she did!

There was the usual update on Ted as we all look forward to his return.

There was no doubt that Helen would feature in this week's sketch and as you see she did. What you have not seen are her lovely black legs and high heels that would really have inspired Tolouse Lautrec and his friends at Lapin Agille ......as well! They are in the second sketch! all is revealed
