Fire!

I am so late up loading this it's technically a back blip too. Sheesh!

A very frustrating day trying to order a fire basket for our open fire. After spending ages arguing over choosing which one to buy, I thought all I had to do was phone the company and order it and it would be here in a week.

WRONG!

Turns out these people are not just sitting awaiting my call and it will be after Christmas before they can deliver. Noooooooooooo! I want a real fire at Christmas time!

Then it turns out that the one we are after has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Arghhhhhhhh!!!! Back to the drawing board.

So today has been wasted spent looking for a new model as well as a fire guard and a companion set. After trawling the internet all evening, David has finally found something that can be delivered before Christmas (fingers crossed) so as it's not that expensive we've bought it as a "make do", which of course means we will use it for the next 25 years! :)

Had planned to blip my Aga purchases which David like.....phew! but as I was waiting for Alan to get off the school bus, the sky was doing amazing things so you get a snap of that instead. A firey dusk to end a fire related day!

Sorry to be so absent from blip but life has just taken over. And sincere apologies for not even replying to all your lovely comments. That will be rectified asap.
