What happens next?

It was the last day of adoption prep course today... It's been really interesting and useful, we've spoken to social workers, medical officers, adoptive parents, psychologists, and we've got to know the other couples in the group, who were a really nice bunch...

So we've all swapped contact details and have gone away with a reading list and books full of notes , and we're ready and raring to go... but now we have to wait for a while... Next stage is to put in a formal application and then we need to wait to be allocated a social worker for the home study stage, around 6 months of in depth scrutiny and introspection... Looks like it will be February/March ish before we can get cracking on this. It seems like a really long time away, however I've still got plenty of projects on the go, so it will probably fly by.
