Berberis

Not a very good day today - I had to spend most of it resting as I was unable to walk much. So looking for a blip I didn't venture far.

We have a Berberis hedge along our road boundary which is 30 metres long (hubby knows that because he hates pruning it). It gets covered with berries and these bright little flowers, but I think it is a bit confused as the flowers are not usually around now. There are just 2 flower heads along one side of the 30 metres, and this is one of them. I like the way it really jumps out against the dark foliage, especially as the sun was not out but the flowers were picking up and reflecting light from somewhere.
