An unusual day for Queensferry which will no doubt leave us both confused for the rest of the week. Today I achieved my tile grout repair and tidy up after electrician's badges as well as my filling bank bags with smash and fixing house alarms ones. So a busy day and we did have fun in the DIY store trawling through all their Christmas light tat.

Mother is still chuckling at her statement a few weeks back where she said jokingly;- 'I think I'll have a party tonight, I'll just crack open a bottle of avocado and Mary and I w ill get smashed'

Those avocados are lethal, I would stay away from them if I was you mother!

At just the time I am leaving Queensferry just now the sun is beginning to set. If I am quick I can catch the bridges in full low sun. The Rail bridge was as vibrant on the water's reflection as it was out of it, but then, just as I turned to go into the car the Road Bridge shone. It's not often the Road Bridge manages to trump the Rail Bridge for me, but today it certainly did. And always the sight of them takes away my strains and gives me strength.
