Faithful friend...

Our lovely cleaner decided to hoover the office today and so I decided to give her some space and took the opportunity to visit the secret garden.
I haven't been there since the warm, balmy days of Summer when we'd regularly sit and watch the garden grow and the birds flit and fly among the overgrown shrubs and trees.
Through the Summer we supplied the bird tables with tasty treats, and were rewarded by the regular visits of a cute robin who got so tame he would almost sit on your hand.
I sat in the garden for 5 minutes and there he was. He swooped down from the trees and chattered away to me. I felt quite guilty that we'd not kept up with his treats, but he still greeted me with a song and a twinkle in his bright eyes.
I found a handful of left over seeds, and he was quite happy to sit on the bench with me and have a spot of lunch.
Tomorrow I'm going to take some bird food into work and make sure that I keep him supplied through the Winter.
