Post early for Christmas!

Every year the antique shop on Leisure Isle puts out this pillarbox for Santa's Post. It's necessary to do so long before Christmas as we are a long way from the North Pole at 34* South and given the pace of the post these days one wouldn't want the letters to arrive late!

In some ways it's ironic since Leisure Isle is home to many retired people in Knysna and there are not too many children around - at least before the holidays. All this changes round the first week of December when holiday makers flock to our town and all is chaos until about the 5th of January when peace is restored.

The influx is a huge boon for local businesses and many depend on the season for their survival for the rest of the year.
