Morning Dew
Today the Mrs had a minor dental procedure and so I took care of the little TMGs. They are fun to be around and very energetic. They both went to school this AM and so I had a few minutes to myself in the AM and briefly stopped and took this picture while driving home. The weather was very cool in the AM and so there was dew all over the grassy field. I spotted this spider web and thought that it would make a good blip and shot this handheld.
I also tried shooting some water droplets on the grass later, and was frustrated by the process. The challenge is finding the subject when you have the macro lens and extension tube mounted. The ability to focus and DoF is so limited in that configuration that it I had a really difficult time finding the desired subject. The camera was mounted on a tripod and I was randomly moving the camera arund and fiddling with the focus ring to find the desired droplet. Really annoying! Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?
I like this picture because of the recurring water droplet pattern. You can also see the sun reflected in some droplets and the background magnified.
