On a Tui hunt

I had good luck yesterday evening shooting Tui's (but I had already blipped) so today I was giving it another go. I had the tools, camera, TeeJay's sports car and to my surprise her big lens in the back seat - yes!

No.

The Tui's were incredibly camera shy this evening and when I did get a few shots off they were hiding behind flax leaves etc. I guess it didn't help that it was raining.

But then this chap arrived wet and willing to sit for a minute to give me time to weld the big lens and try and focus.

The shots looked good on the camera screen but not in sharp focus once on the computer. That is okay as I am only learning and now understand what the lens is about and that I will master it with practice.

My grateful for today that I have a job that allows me to have flexible hours at times.
