Sky, but not Sunday

Went for a short walk on "the logging road" on "the dike", where the sky can be seen all around. This area near the Columbia river used to flood every year, until a dike was built to keep the river out, leaving an area of fertile farmland. The logging road is an old, narrow road used in the past for bringing logs to the river from the nearby mountains. These days it is frequented by bicyclers, runners and walkers. Wonderful place, as it cuts through some wetlands and is a home to a host of wildlife.
