Kingdom

For the last few months my bedtime booktime has been filled with an epic re-reading of Stephen King's Dark Tower series, as it's going on a decade since my original literary journey with Roland and his ka-tet. Even the second time round, the point when King introduces himself as a character in the series - with some not-so-subtle advertisements for his other novels to boot - jars massively. If I ever decide to write myself into any serious work of fiction that I produce, you have my full permission to write me into a novel of your own where I get my head kicked in.
