The Old Forge
Although I have blipped the view east from a bedroom window at home on several occasions, I have only once posted the view from my study at the other end of the cottage, looking west, and that was a sunset shot a year ago. At lunchtime, I had noticed a mist in the distance but by the time I had got my camera and was ready to take a picture it was far less conspicuous.
The two tall trees are limes and are in two neighbouring gardens, the further garden being at the home of Fluffy. A third lime that was in the garden this side of the hedge at bottom left was felled a few years ago. The tree on the far right of the picture is a copper beech. Everything in view was once part of the Bowood estate, and the land on the horizon still is.
