Meet and Greet

I realised only now that I had not posted an entry for the 23rd...here it is.

We went to meet a community in Turkana which was preparing a rain catchment area which would be used to grow fodder for goats, cows and camels. Apparently this kind of project had been done many years ago but had been abandoned because the rain has been too little. The community explained that they had wronged god who was now far away from them and their problems.

As you can see, the women are on the left and the men in the middle. The rest of us who were visiting stayed on the far right trying to catch a bit of shade.

I sure hope it rains...no matter how small...
