Oh no....not you again

Another first. The first mantid of the season. He's not very old, but he's in exactly the right spot for a big feed. My seaside daisy bush is a haven for all sort of flies - I hope he eats every single on of them.

Except the hovers - he can leave the hovers alone.

It's a really hot one today, but no humidity so it's not so bad for humans. There is a continuous parade of birds coming to the bird bath for a drink. I shall put the lawn sprinklers on a little later on, the birds really love that.
