Sax appeal!
Today was hubby's birthday and both our daughters wanted to take their dad on a tour of a distillery so we headed off to Blair Atholl distillery in Pitlochry. The tour was quite good as far as tours go though the best one I have been on to date was to the Lochranza distillery on Arran. From there we drove to Comrie to a crazy wee shop owned by an excentric German lady and bought all sorts of mad things like wee stones which she made us ask a crystal if the stones we chose wanted us! What a laugh. From there onto Crianlarich and back down loch Lomond side stopping at the Drovers hotel for dinner. The food wasn't great but the place itself is worth seeing. Then back to Glasgow to drop the girls off then we headed back home to Argyll. Well over 300 miles in all with only a brief rest from driving all day.
Still we had a good laugh and a good time. Hubby also got given a saxaphone for his birthday by us allwhich is also his retirement, so he will have plenty of time to learn it (after he takes my old kitchen out & then floors that damn loft) then he can learn to play the thing! (on the loft!) Anyway a long and fulfilling day
