Roundup

First full day with friends in Yorkshire. Weather is a bit overcast but I still took quite a few pictures on my travels.

Firstly there was Saltaire Village which is a fascinating place. There was an American film crew in the village and I kept getting in their shot.

Then there was Esholt Village where the original Emerdale was filmed. I took a few pictures around the Woolpack pub.

But just along the road we came across this village of tents which turned out to be a Wild West gathering (Roundup). Not much happening today so I may go back tomorrow. Apparently there are 2 classes of Cowboys and we were directed to the 'authentics' who despite the Lancashire and Yorkshire accents live like genuine wild west cowboys. Howevver we caught them out a bit just before I took this picture as they had to hide a 2 litre bottle of coke which would certainly not have been deemed authentic.

To keep with the spirit of the thing I tried to give the picture an old style, almost 'authentic', feel to it.
