Thanks for all those stars and hearts for my yesterblip - I told Robin how popular he was when he turned up again today. He fluffed up his chest with pride.

BTW, for those who asked how difficult that sparkly nail polish would be to remove, the answer is Very! I scrubbed away at my nails for some considerable time, and they still have a slight twinkle in places.
