"too fast me duck"

..... thats what the Derbyshire police constable said to me when he pulled me over today !!

What a day; into work to give a presentation first thing, it over ran a bit, but I still left in time for my flight from Birmingham Airport. Going down the A38 dual carriageway, as I rounded a bend, I spotted the mobile speed camera on the bridge, but obviously too late ! next thing I see 2 police bikes in a layby one behind me and another pulling alongside me signalling for me to follow him. Off at the next junction I go following the bike to a disused parking area where it seems half of the constabulary were standing about. Pulled in to be told "too fast ...." Doing 81 mph on 70mph limit you will get a fine but can go to the dad boy safety class and avoid points. Then a check of the car exanination of driving licence, check on walkie talkie and then a breathalyser !! (it wasn't even lunch time). Everythings fine sir thank you.

Fair cop, it's been over 20 years since my last speeding fine so long overdue. Not a bad reminder occasionally and I suppose I am quite glad they are trying to catch insurance and tax dodgers even though I am sure the job only needed half the staff.

so todays blip is not the best quality but it seemed appropriate.

I am now in Remscheid, Germany. After a meeting here tomorrow I am back to Dusseldorf for another meeting and then driving being driven carefully to Brussels. Not sure when the blip gets squeezed in ??
