Sugar Loaves - All Present & Correct

The children from All Saints Primary School in Greenock have completed their sugar loaves!

We already Blipped the making of the Loaves last week. The pupils from All Saints had heard all about how in the days before bags of sugar, the loaves were used routinely in homes throughout the land.

They were made in Greenock so it's safe to say that teeth in Greenock in the 'olden days' suffered as a result...

Absent Voices artist, Annie McKay reports that then children were delighted with their handiwork - as was fellow AV artist, Rod Miller, who's been working in the school too.

Next week as a special treat, there will be a musical intervention, Absent Voices style.
