I want to ride my bicycle :(

Looking forward all morning to going on a good bike ride in the afternoon. The entire plan went to s**t, first of all I got all ready and prepared for a long ride, then I noticed by back tyre was a bit low, so I attempted to pump it up and some how the tyre nozzle snapped clean off. Which made it impossible to blow up.
So I went up to Halfords and purchased a couple of new tubes, fitted one as soon as I got back only to find this was the wrong size tube which the bloke gave me. So I tried the other one and fortunately this one was the right size.
Pumped it up and went out on the bike. Got 5 miles into the bike ride and found that all the air had disappeared from the back wheel again. So with no spare tube I was screwed! Had to push the bike back home in the dark :(
Had a look at the back wheel and found that I had a massive fresh thorn in it! What are the chances?.
Unlucky day I guess. The wheels patched up now and hopefully will be ok for tomorrow.
