Waiting for St Giles

Or more accurately waiting for St Giles' cathedral to open its doors for the Royal Norwegian Advent Concert. It featured the Edinburgh University Chamber Choir and a Norwegian trio of Berit Opheim (vocals) Nils Okland (fiddles) and Sigbjorn Apelend (organ and piano). (Apologies for the lack of accents, I don't have a Norwegian keyboard!)

The performances were wonderful and the setting glorious, even for the religiously unpersuaded such as myself. The trio played a cross between folk and classical songs, beautifully arranged. I regret not browsing the CDs now :(
