Blood

Gave blood today, 186 donations. I used to give plasma every 4 weeks which counts as 2 donations. Now this has been stopped because of CJD risk and we import our products from Germany and Belgium. The plasma ladies still take platelets donations and they keep all the jam jars for me.

When you donate plasma or platelets you are on the machine for about 1 hour, the ladies look after you with tea and bran scones and jam., hence all the empty jam jars. Will drop off some full jars for them next week.

Now I give blood because well it is putting something back, helping others etc....no you get a cup of tea, TUC sandwich biscuits and Taxi biccies, well worth the effort.. The guy next to me prefered the Tunnocks Tea cake.
