Winter's coming...

I woke this morning to see a frozen lake and frost covered lawn. It was -4 at 07:00. Last week there was snow, but this disappeared in a day. The forecast says it will warm up again by the middle of the week. I can't understand why there's such a large amount of variation in the climate. It's not something I remember happening in the past. Is this what global warming really is?

Anyway, it was nice to see the sun at 07:00. Not for much longer. Winter is digging its teeth in!
