Volga-Dnepr

A quick lunchtime blip from today, an Antanov AH-124-100 leaving Prestwick Airport. The noise was fantastic. This is the first time I have actually seen one of these heavy lift cargo planes take off, although this one can be seen getting ready to depart on the blip for 8th February.

Another bit of news from the Airport this week is that it has been sold to the Scottish Government for the princely sum of £1 sterling. If only I knew who to speak to I would have offered them £2. Imagine buying a whole Airport with all that goes with it for such a small sum.
