Just hanging

Spotted this piece of wire just hanging around on the way home. There are hundreds of small bits of wire just hanging around on fences on the property. I'm sure there must be a logical reason but my tired brain can't think of it. Two evening meetings tonight. I missed an online lecture I was supposed to participate in because the meetings went longer than expected.
Thankfully it is bedtime. Note to self: 3 hours sleep the night before and evening meetings are not conducive to a fast day! Will have to try another day.
