DDW's November Challenge Day 25 : Patina

Today started with me surprising HV with a trip out with Emmy and Noel on the RIB to go and look at seals. It was a fabulous trip out and we took a bunch of pictures. Huge thank you to Noel and Emmy for making it happen - I am indebted to you both.

So after the seals, it was back to normality and doing more stuff in the house. One of my favourite bits of the house is the stairs, and where they turn back on themselves there is a ball on top of the bannister. Years of hands have worn the varnish through to the wood and left a aged patina. I will strip and sand and re-varnish the stairs. Eventually...
