Plaça de Sant Miquel

We are being lucky with the weather for our weekend in Barcelona. More wandering through the gothic town this time, which made a break from the racecourse of traffic lined boulevards. There were some wee gems of alleyways and squares in which to get lost.

In one, the Plaça de Sant Felip Neri, a talented pupeteer stood by a fountain being watched by a family. Nearby on one of the walls bounding the square, the bricks had been shattered by the impact of machine gun fire. At waist height. Dating from 1939.
