Pointe des Savolaires, a Rare Sighting.

This beautiful classically shaped mountain is usually lost against the backdrop of of the Grand Muveran but today, with clouds between the two mountains and the evening sun, you could see it from our drive! It is a pilgrimage peak for me in the summer, dwarfed by bigger peaks, hardly anyone goes there. The rare edelweiss, the Swiss national flower grows near the summit - don't tell anyone please!
