Day 62
Today was the start of an incredibly large film fesitval for Human Rights documentaries (http://www.verzio.org/en). It was Verzio's tenth anniversary, and the festival was screening over 60 films in 5 days. Naturally, I sat for several hours staring at the schedule, watching trailers, and mapping out how I could see as many films as possible.
Axel and I went to the opening film, First Cousin Once Removed, which detailed a poet's worsening Alzheimer's. It was a very powerful topic, but I think the film was distracting with edited typewriter sounds and flashes of thunder. The film was best when it just had shots of Edwin Honig talking or singing, often to himself, or just sitting and clapping on his knees.
Procrastinating and surfing things to do in Budapest paid off, once again.
