Fractals
One of my favourite books which I have had for many years is 'Natures's Chaos' with text by scientist James Gleick and photographs by the American wilderness photographer Elliot Porter.
The book explores the theories of fractal geometry as applied to nature where it can be shown the the same patterns appear in the tiniest grain of sand right up to the tallest mountain range. It has led to the formation of the science of chaos theory which takes a much better mind than mine to absorb and understand.
I thought this shot could be an example, for instance . Is it a huge cliff face or a 6 inch high ledge on the beach? I leave it up to you.
