Boys

This is the old entrance to the school at the top of Johnstone Terrace, with a passer by peering in the dark passage ;-)

Lots of old school buildings have separate entrances for boys and girls. I'm not really sure why they did this. Any blippers know? Was it because their classes were also separate? Were the boys simply bad for the girls?

Much excitment at the station this morning as we arrived to find a scene out of "CSI:Uphall Station" after some miscreant had broken into the ticket machine on the opposite platform and the CSI chap (really - it said "Crime Scene Investigator" on the back of his fleece jacket) dusting for prints, two policemen standing guard (gossiping) and a couple more burly looking policemen with sticks for racking through the bushes.

I have to say its probably someone either doing it for kicks or drink/drug money as they displayed a distinct lack of intelligence with their approach - and went for the machine on the wrong platform ...
