Mother Nature's tight grip
Today I visited the eerie surroundings of Stirlingshire's Buchanan Castle. This former grand family pile has doubled up as a hotel and even a WWII hospital when Rudolf Hess spent some time recuperating before heading back to face the Nuremberg Trials.
The walls of the castle are still mostly in place but the upper floors have collapsed to the ground where huge trees and vines have now taken a tight grip.
This is a stunning location and well worth a trip for all adventurous Blippers. If you'd like to see some of the other shots I took, click here.
