Straight down the middle
Well today has totally been about food and fun!
A huge breakfast/brunch with homemade American pancakes with griddled strawberries in Maple Syrup, Croissants, Crumpets and Decaf Earl Grey tea. The old ticker can't handle caffeine anymore!!
Swimming in the Jurassic Fun Centre pool, zooming down slides with all the kids and tuck jumping into the pool to collect swimming clams from the bottom of the pool until all our lips started to turn blue.
Sweet potato fries and garlic bread to recharge our batteries and another Earl Grey tea for the grown ups!
Bowling which got very competitive between the kids, each wanting to know who was in the lead after each turn they had.
Finally returning home and having a Raclette and Fondue which allowed the kids to cook their own meal at the table, something that took a bit of explaining with Jack and Erin as this was a new experience for them. All the kids agreed it was the most fun they'd had at the dinner table and definitely want to have another one VERY soon!!!!
The kids managed apple pie and cream for afters, but Mr Lovely and I were stuffed. Now I've just recounted what we've eaten today though, maybe the last of the apple pie won't be lasting much longer!!!
Hope you've all had as lovely a weekend as we have.
