Greetings my friends

This rather odd looking creature and his mate are positioned to each side of the endurance to Askham Hall where I spent last night. It was a lovely evening in a lovely hall with lovely food. We did wonder if the hall was haunted but we didn't get any 'vibes'.
It was a rather surreal visit as it felt like we were visiting someone's home but they weren't there! I did feel that the hall seems to have a calming effect when you enter it. Quite a strange feeling, but a very acceptable one. The fact that I was staying there as a result of a Facebook competition that I won was also good. Mentioning winners of competitions congratulations to my niece Ashleigh who last night was crowned junior miss Cumbria. Proud aunty
