Birthday present

I am literally so excited about my gift from Dad for my birthday...

I decided ages ago that I'd like a film camera for my birthday this year, so Dad and I have been browsing eBay looking for a nice, good-quality camera. We'd picked one out, but Dad decided to also look on Gumtree and he found a much better option - a camera with several lenses and other accessories, being sold here in Melbourne so we could go and see it before we got it.

So this morning we headed out to St Albans (somewhere I'd never ventured before) and met this lovely old guy who told us all these stories about his life and about the camera and gave me some tips on using the camera. It was such a lovely experience and I'm so excited to finally learn more about film photography.

Of course, I have so much studying to do this week that I have to keep the camera all packed up because if I start using it I won't get anything done. It'll be my reward!
