Remembering Acacius

Today marks the 2nd Angelsversary of my friend Monica's dear boy Acacius. This entry is both dedicated to this sweet angel who's too beautiful for the earth, as well as his strong, courageous mommy Monica and daddy Gary.

I think about them all the time. They're always in my prayers. But when I see them I am at a loss of what to say. Even though I have an angel baby myself, I am still too scared to put my foot in the mouth and say something that ends up being hurtful, because I know how much it hurts (or do I really know?). But Monica and Gary, I want you to know that my silence does not mean indifference at all. You are the bravest and strongest parents I've ever met. My heart aches for you and I pray that we all have the patience, wisdom and faith to see God's plan through this all.

Acacius, I'm sure you too are proud of your parents. You are one lucky boy. Happy Birthday!
